Tugu Insurance on Full Alert 24/7 to Serve Eid Homecoming Travelers

Jakarta, March 27, 2025 – Traveling for homecoming ahead of Eid al-Fitr is a long-standing tradition for Indonesians. Reuniting and gathering with family in their hometown is a highly anticipated moment every year. However, with long distances and extended travel times, various risks may arise along the journey. To ensure that travelers and customers can have a safe and worry-free trip, Tugu Insurance remains alerted to provide 24-hour services.  

To anticipate potential risks homecoming travelers face, Tugu Insurance has made several preparations. These include offering a homecoming \ insurance product called t mudik and ensuring the readiness of the contact center service – Call TIA (Tugu Insurance Assistant), which is available 24/7 to assist customers.  

President Director of Tugu Insurance, Tatang Nurhidayat ,stated, "Tugu Insurance is always committed to providing the best service for our customers, especially during the Eid homecoming season. Our Contact Center service is on full alert 24/7 to assist customers."

The Call TIA service has received public recognition, as evidenced by winning a prestigious award for four consecutive years as the best Contact Center in the "Call Center for Car Insurance" category with the "Excellent Service Performance" rating, organized by a leading media and research institution specializing in service excellence.  

Tugu Insurance has also prepared towing services known as t rex (Tugu Real Experience), which are on standby to assist customers whose vehicles encounter issues during the journey. t rex is ready to help with emergencies such as flat tires, engine breakdowns, or accidents. Moreover, Tugu Insurance’s partner workshops along the homecoming routes are also on alert to assist customers whose vehicles experience trouble while traveling.  

Beyond service preparations, Tugu Insurance has also introduced a product called t mudik insurance. t mudik insurance provides comprehensive protection for homecoming travelers and is available in conventional and Sharia-compliant options.  

Tatang explained, "t mudik is a product specially designed for the Eid homecoming season, offering complete protection. It not only covers accident insurance for travelers but also insures vehicles, personal belongings, and even their residences."  

To support people traveling to their hometowns, Tugu Insurance provides free t mudik insurance to 5,000 participating in the Program Mudik Gratis Bareng Pertamina 2025 departed on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Keong Mas, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), East Jakarta. A total of 121 buses were prepared to reach 23 cities. With this insurance coverage, participants can experience a safe and comfortable journey.  

"A total of 5,000 homecoming travelers are covered by t mudik insurance for 10 days from departure," Tatang said.  

Through the t mudik product, Tugu Insurance protects travelers against the risk of death due to accidents, with coverage of up to IDR 22,500,000 per person. Additionally, t mudik covers medical expenses, ambulance costs, lost or damaged personal belongings, vehicle damage caused by accidents, and compensation if the insured’s residence is burglarized or catches fire. There is also compensation in case of ticket or hotel booking cancellations.  

Furthermore, at the departure site of Mudik Gratis Bareng Pertamina 2025, Tugu Insurance set up a booth featuring interactive games for participants. These activities aim to educate and raise awareness about the importance of insurance in a fun and engaging way. At the booth, Tugu Insurance also distributed several prizes and traditional Jakarta souvenirs, such as biji ketapang, dodol Jakarta, and akar kelapa, for travelers to bring home to their families.
