Supporting Asta Cita, Pertamina Strengthens Governance Systems

Jakarta, January 23, 2025 – In support of the Prabowo-Gibran Administration's first 100 days and following Asta Cita’s focus on strengthening corruption prevention and eradication, 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero) continues to enhance its systems and consistently implement Good Corporate Governance (GCG).  

Until now, Pertamina has developed various GCG systems in coordination with the Ministry of SOE. These include consultations and training with law enforcement, the implementation of regulations such as the Code of Conduct (COC) and Conflict of Interest (COI), the Compliance Online System (Compol), the Whistleblowing System (WBS), and the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS).  

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that Pertamina's efforts to strengthen its GCG system have been recognized and have become a benchmark for ministries, agencies, SOEs, universities, and private companies.  

“One of Pertamina’s featured systems is the WBS reporting system, which has now become a reference point and comparison for various government institutions and other business entities,” Fadjar said.  

He noted that one of Pertamina’s WBS system key advantages is its integrated corruption reporting management, established through a Cooperation Agreement with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in 2021. In addition, Pertamina collaborates with other agencies, including the Inspectorate of the Ministry of SOE, the National Standardization Agency, and the Indonesian Ombudsman.  

“These collaborations with law enforcement and other institutions serve as safeguards against unlawful actions within Pertamina,” he explained.  

Fadjar added that in 2024, Pertamina’s WBS achieved ISO 37002 certification for the Unaccredited Whistleblowing Management System implementation.  

“This milestone achievement makes Pertamina the first SOE to receive ISO 37002 certification,” Fadjar said.  

To ensure the system operates effectively, Pertamina actively conducts outreach programs for all management and employees through various initiatives, such as Corporate Broadcast WBS and Fraud Awareness sharing sessions across the Pertamina Group. Fraud Awareness is developed through the TRACO Mobile Learning Application, which is accessible to all Pertamina employees.  

“Pertamina continuously builds awareness to ensure good governance practices are adhered to by all employees and management,” Fadjar emphasized.
