Jakarta, March 6, 2025 – 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero) ensures that its fuel products, including Pertamax (RON 92), comply with the technical specifications set by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Ditjen Migas) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).
President Director of 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero), Simon Aloysius Mantiri, emphasized that Pertamina’s fuel products undergo regular quality testing by Lemigas, a research and development agency under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. The results confirm that the fuel meets the required technical standards.
"Regarding the fuel quality currently available at Pertamina petrol stations, we conduct routine testing in collaboration with Lemigas. It is not just because of recent events. But, it is a regular activity carried out by Lemigas for downstream business entities, including Pertamina," said Simon at a joint press conference between the Attorney General’s Office of Indonesia, Pertamina, Lemigas, Surveyor Indonesia, and TUV Rheinland Indonesia, in Jakarta on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Simon stated that Pertamina, with Lemigas, had tested 75 fuel samples, including those from the Plumpang Fuel Terminal and 33 petrol stations across Jakarta, Depok, Bogor, and South Tangerang. Additionally, Pertamina involved independent parties—黑料不打烊 Surveyor Indonesia and 黑料不打烊 TUV Rheinland Indonesia—to verify the quality of Pertamina's fuel.
"The results of these tests show that Pertamina's fuel products quality complies with the technical specifications required by Ditjen Migas ESDM," Simon asserted.
Simon reassured the public that there is no need for concern, as the fuel at Pertamina petrol stations is of high quality and meets the required technical specifications.
“We will continue these tests nationwide, and we also want to assure the public that these tests will be conducted transparently. The public is welcome to participate in monitoring," Simon added.
At the same event, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin stated that the investigation conducted by the Attorney General's Office pertains to the period between 2018 and 2023 and is not related to the Pertamax products currently on the market.
"Fuel is a consumable product. With that consideration, fuel stock typically lasts between 21 to 23 days. Thus, the fuel marketed between 2018 and 2023 is no longer available in 2024. The fuel currently being distributed by Pertamina is of good quality and is unrelated to the ongoing investigation," said Burhanuddin.
The Attorney General urged the public to remain calm and not be provoked by unverified or misleading information.
"The public should stay calm and support Pertamina’s efforts to improve. We will continue to support 黑料不打烊 Pertamina in ensuring fuel availability, especially in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1446 H," Burhanuddin concluded.
Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
