Jakarta, April 14, 2025 – The first round of the Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series 2025 was successfully held from April 11 to 13, 2025, joined by 136 starters, marking a record for the highest number of participants, and took place in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, expressed his gratitude to the organizers, participants, the involvement of MSMEs, and the local community who also contributed to the event's success, as well as to the visitors who attended the Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series 2025 in person.
“Congratulations to all the winners. All the racers were competitive in terms of time and showed their best performance at the Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series,” Fadjar said.
One of the national championship competitions at the Pertamina International Circuit was the National Sport 250cc class, joined by 32 participants. “Specifically for the National Sport 250cc class, out of 32 racers, eight recorded lap times within 18 minutes, competing tightly within a few seconds of each other,” Fadjar revealed.
The top three winners in the National Sport 250cc class were Moch Murobbil Fathoni from the YMH LFN HP969 Global Ondolomon team from East Java, who secured first place with 18:42.431 minutes, Gerry Salim, also from East Java, representing the MS Glow For Men Racing Team, took second place with a time of 18:42.586 minutes, Candra H, a racer from East Kalimantan, representing the YMH YMLB SCM Grup Aditama NHK RBT34 STSI GDT Berau team, secured third place with 18:42.632 minutes.
Fadjar continued that Pertamina supports the national racing ecosystem and hopes to discover promising young racing talents who can compete not only at the local level but also internationally.
The Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series began with scrutineering activities (technical and mechanical inspection of vehicles before or after racing events) and free practice on April 11, 2025.
On the second day, April 12, 2025, qualifying sessions took place for several competing classes, including National Junior Sport 150cc U-15, National Sport 250cc, National Supersport 600cc, National Sport 150cc, SBK 1000cc & SS 600 Community, Underbone 150cc Open, and Sport 250cc Community. Followed by the Superpole Race for the National Junior Sport 150cc U-15 class, then Race 1 for National Junior Sport 150cc U-15, National Sport 250cc, National Supersport 600cc, National Sport 150cc, SBK 1000cc & SS 600 Community, Underbone 150cc Open, and Sport 250cc Community.
On the final day, April 13, 2025, the Superpole Race was held for the National Sport 250cc class, followed by Race 2 for the Sport 250cc Community and National Junior Sport 150cc U-15. The Superpole Race continued for the National Junior Sport 150cc U-15, National Sport 150cc, National Supersport 600cc, and Underbone 150cc Open classes. The day concluded with Race 2 for the National Sport 250cc, SBK 1000cc & SS 600 Community, National Sport 150cc, National Supersport 600cc, and Underbone 150cc Open classes.
One of the racers who previously had the opportunity to participate in the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Riders Academy and also won first place in the National Sport 250cc class at the Pertamina Mandalika Racing Series 2025, Galang Hendra Pratama, hopes that similar events will continue in the future.
“I hope this event can be held consistently to serve as a bridge for Indonesian athletes to the international stage, and I believe that the racers in this event will also compete in world championships,” he stated.
