Jakarta, March 20, 2025 – As part of the Sobat Aksi Ramadan BUMN 2025 initiative in Jakarta, 40 volunteers from the Pertamina Group participated in a community service event to clean the surrounding area and mosques in Kedoya, West Jakarta, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The activities included cleaning Al Ukhuwah Mosque and its foundation and distributing donations.
Pertamina carried out this initiative in two locations: Sorong on Monday (March 17) and now in Jakarta.
The Sobat Aksi Ramadan 2025 program was initiated by the Ministry SOE, in which Pertamina took part as a form of SOE's commitment to the community by spreading joy, improving welfare, and helping people during the holy month of Ramadan. This program is conducted in 22 provinces by 28 SOEs, following the 8th Asta Cita goal of supporting social harmony and enhancing interfaith tolerance.
VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that this program focuses on cooperation activities, fostering care, and strengthening solidarity with the community. Pertamina is organizing activities in two locations, namely Sorong, West Papua, and West Jakarta.
“In Jakarta, there are 40 volunteers, and in Sorong, 53 volunteers. This positive initiative is expected to encourage employees to engage and participate in the community while fostering harmony to create a healthy, green, and clean environment,” Fadjar explained.
Fadjar added that Pertamina’s volunteers' enthusiasm was very positive. Initially, only 20 volunteers were targeted, but the Pertamina Group employees' enthusiasm was so high that they were willing to dedicate their time to work with the community. "Hopefully, this activity will be beneficial and positively impact the surrounding environment. Besides running its business, Pertamina also hopes to continue contributing to society through various empowerment programs," he said.
The Secretary of Kedoya Urban Village, Reza, appreciates Pertamina and SOE for their concrete action in supporting the people of Jakarta. "Thank you to SOE, represented by Pertamina. Today, the Sobat Aksi Ramadan program has made a real impact by cleaning the mosque. Thanks also to the residents who participated. May today's initiative receive blessings from Allah," he said.
