Baubau, March 9, 2025 – Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H, to effectively meet the public needs, Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures energy distribution readiness, particularly fuel and LPG. The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, conducted a working visit to Baubau, Southeast Sulawesi, today (9/3) to inspect infrastructure and energy distribution readiness in the region.
During this visit, Minister Bahlil emphasized the importance of optimal energy availability across all regions, especially ahead of the peak homecoming travel period and Eid celebrations.
"The government ensures that the public does not face difficulties obtaining fuel and LPG during Eid. I appreciate the proactive steps taken by Pertamina Patra Niaga in maintaining energy supply and distribution, particularly in eastern Indonesia. Baubau and its surrounding areas are a priority due to their strategic role in connectivity and logistics in Southeast Sulawesi. I also confirm that fuel stock is secure and its quality remains on specification (on-spec), so the public does not need to worry about meeting their energy needs during the homecoming and Eid holiday period," Minister Bahlil said.
Minister Bahlil visited several key locations in Baubau, including a petrol station and the Baubau Fuel Terminal. At the petrol station, he ensured that fuel distribution for private vehicles was running smoothly. Meanwhile, at the Baubau Fuel Terminal, he inspected the stock and operational readiness to guarantee an uninterrupted energy supply for the public.
Meanwhile, the Acting President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo Putra, reassures the company’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and secure energy supply.
"Pertamina Patra Niaga has established the Ramadan and Eid Task Force (RAFI) 2025, operating from March 17 to April 13, 2025. We are ensuring the optimal fuel, LPG, and aviation fuel distribution, especially in areas with potential consumption increases," Mars Ega Legowo Putra said.
As part of its distribution strengthening strategy, Pertamina Patra Niaga has increased stock at various Fuel Terminals and LPG Depots, including in Baubau. Additionally, supplementary services such as Standby Petrol Stations, Modular Petrol Stations, and the One Price Fuel program remain operational to serve communities in the 3T (Frontier, Remote, and Disadvantaged) areas.
This preparedness is expected to provide convenience for the public during the long holiday period while ensuring smooth and uninterrupted energy distribution.
