February 26, 2025 - In response to issues circulating in the public and several media outlets, Pertamina Patra Niaga, Subholding Commercial & Trading of 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero), affirms that there is no mixing of Pertamax fuel. The quality of Pertamax is ensured to meet government specifications, which is RON 92.  

“The products entering Pertamina's fuel terminals are finished products complying with the respective RON ratings—Pertalite has RON 90, and Pertamax has RON 92. The specifications distributed to the public from the moment received by Pertamina's terminals have adhered to government regulations,” said Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Heppy Wulansari, on Tuesday (2/25/2025).  

Heppy continued that the treatment applied at the main fuel terminal includes dye injection to distinguish products, making them easily recognizable to the public. Additionally, additives are injected to enhance Pertamax's performance.  

“So, this is not a case of mixing or altering the RON. The public does not need to worry about Pertamax's quality,” Heppy explained.  

Pertamina Patra Niaga implements strict procedures and supervision in the Quality Control (QC) activities. The Pertamina fuel distribution is also monitored by the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas).  

“We comply with procedures to ensure quality, and our distribution is also monitored by the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency,” Heppy stated.  

Heppy further emphasized that Pertamina is committed to good corporate governance (GCG) in providing the products consumers need.  

VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that Pertamina remains committed to maintaining the quality of fuel distributed to the public.  

“The public does not need to worry; Pertamina’s products have undergone a series of tests to ensure they meet premium quality standards,” Fadjar explained.
