Pertamina Ranks 32nd on TIME Magazine's 500 World's Best Companies in Asia-Pacific, the Highest in Indonesia

Jakarta, February 13, 2025 – 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero) has been recognized as the highest-ranked Indonesian company on TIME Magazine and Statista's 2025 list of the 500 World's Best Companies in Asia-Pacific. Pertamina secured the 32nd position with a score of 93.00, reinforcing its status as one of the top companies in the region.  

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that the ranking is based on three key aspects: company revenue growth, employee satisfaction survey results, and the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles implementation.  

"Following organizational restructuring, Pertamina has continued to record increases in revenue and profit, contributing significantly to the nation," Fadjar said.  

He further explained that Pertamina’s positive performance is driven by innovation and the employees' dedication, known as Perwira Pertamina, across Indonesia. This dedication directly correlates with employee satisfaction regarding the company’s achievements and management.  

"Perwira Pertamina or Pertamina's employees are our greatest asset and the driving force behind our success. Therefore, we continuously enhance their skills and capabilities to achieve positive performance and support national energy self-sufficiency targets," Fadjar added.  

As an SOE, Fadjar emphasized that Pertamina remains committed to implementing ESG principles across all business lines. "Our ESG implementation reflects Pertamina’s commitment to realizing its vision of becoming a world-class energy company that is environmentally friendly and well-governed," he stated.  

Pertamina's score of 93.00 demonstrates its competitiveness, as 10 of the top companies in Asia-Pacific scored within the 93 range, ranking between 22nd and 31st. The 22nd position was occupied by Australia's CSL (score: 93.91), followed by Japan's SBI Holding (93.83), China's BYD Company (93.32), and South Korea's SK Group (93.10). The highest-ranked company on the list was DBS Bank from Singapore, with a score of 97.36.  

Pertamina also outperformed other major companies in Asia-Pacific, such as Japan’s Marubeni Corporation (35th), Singapore Airlines (36th), Korea Gas Corporation (37th), and Mazda Motor Corporation from Japan (40th).
