Pertamina Prepares Avtur Supply for 2025 Hajj Flights
Jakarta, April 30, 2025 – Ahead of the 2025 Hajj season, Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that Avtur (aviation turbine fuel) stock and supporting facilities are in safe condition to support the smooth operation of Hajj flights in 2025 at 13 Hajj embarkation airports across Indonesia.
"95,700 kiloliters (KL) of Avtur is being prepared to anticipate Hajj flights fuel needs during two operational phases, namely the departure phase from May 2 to June 1 and the return phase from June 10 to July 11, 2025," explained Heppy Wulansari, Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga.
In addition to ensuring stock availability and facility readiness, Pertamina Patra Niaga will be on standby 24 hours a day during Indonesian pilgrims' departure and return periods from the Holy Land.
More than 150 refueling units and hundreds of certified personnel have been deployed to ensure maximum service during the Hajj operational period. The process is also supported by a 24/7 after-sales system to ensure smooth operations at every location.
"With this preparation, we hope pilgrims face no obstacles during their departure and return processes. Therefore, they can perform the Hajj pilgrimage peacefully," added Heppy.
This year, Hajj flights are operated by Garuda Indonesia, Saudia Airlines, and Lion Air through 13 airports: Banda Aceh, Medan, Padang, Batam, Palembang, Jakarta, Kertajati, Solo, Surabaya, Lombok, Banjarmasin, Balikpapan, and Makassar.
