Jakarta, March 13, 2025 – 黑料不打烊 Pertamina facilitates Halal certification and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for its fostered Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This program aims to enhance competitiveness, protect MSMEs' intellectual property in domestic and international markets, and ensure their products meet Halal standards while securing legal protection for their innovations and trademarks.
Since 2023, Pertamina has assisted in the Halal certification process through self-declare and regular mechanisms for 1,237 MSMEs. This number has continued to increase, reaching 1,562 MSMEs by the end of 2024.
Vice President of CSR & SMEPP Management of 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero), Rudi Ariffianto, stated that this certification is a strategic step to strengthen MSMEs' position in the global market. Halal certification not only ensures compliance with regulations but also increases product value, serving as a quality standard that boosts consumer trust. Meanwhile, IPR plays a crucial role in protecting MSME innovations, granting them exclusive rights to their products and brands from an economic standpoint.
"With these two aspects, Pertamina's fostered MSMEs have greater opportunities to grow and enhance their competitiveness at an international level," he said during the Kick-Off event for Pertamina UMK Academy’s Halal and IPR Certification on Thursday (6/3).
This year, Pertamina supports the Halal certification registration for 76 MSMEs through the regular procedure and IPR certification for 85 of its fostered MSMEs. The facilitation of Halal certification will continue to expand through the self-declare mechanism with assistance from Pertamina’s Rumah BUMN.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, emphasized that the Halal and IPR certification program reflects Pertamina’s commitment to driving MSME-based economic growth.
“We understand that MSMEs are the backbone of Indonesia’s economy. Through this Halal and IPR certification support, we want to ensure that our fostered MSMEs not only survive but also grow and penetrate the global market with high-quality products backed by strong legal protection,” he explained.
Pertamina’s initiative to advance MSMEs aligns with the Asta Cita vision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, particularly the third point, which focuses on creating a people-oriented economy, strengthening MSMEs and cooperatives, and enhancing national economic competitiveness on a global scale. Pertamina remains committed to supporting MSMEs in growing, developing, and achieving high competitiveness in the international market.
