Jakarta, February 25, 2025 – President Director of 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero), Simon Aloysius Mantiri, has successfully received the Green Leadership Utama award from the Ministry of Environment (KLH) / Environmental Control Agency of the Republic of Indonesia. The award was presented at the PROPER Environmental Award event at Sasono Langen Budoyo, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah Complex, East Jakarta, on Monday (24/2/2025).
Simon Aloysius Mantiri, President Director of Pertamina, stated that this award represents Pertamina's commitment to continuously promoting sustainable development and responsible, environmentally friendly business practices.
"I dedicate this award to all Pertamina officers who consistently give their best efforts for the company's progress, the advancement of society, and environmental preservation," said Simon.
Simon emphasized that as a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE), Pertamina remains committed to benefiting society, the environment, and the economy through various Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs.
Among the TJSL programs implemented by Pertamina are energy benefits for healthy and sustainable food production, MSME development, empowerment of people with disabilities, and the Desa Energi Berdikari (DEB/Independent Energy Village) initiative.
To support healthy food production, in 2024, Pertamina planted more than eight million mangroves and productive trees, generating 15,762.6 tons of food production per year.
Pertamina also provided education programs, reaching 35,000 participants through the Sehati (Healthy Children and Mothers) Program, and nutritional assistance for 18,000 infants.
To enhance economic empowerment, Pertamina facilitated funding for 73,000 MSMEs, creating 36,000 jobs. MSME revenues have increased, reaching IDR 24 billion per year.
Additionally, Pertamina has empowered 22,000 women-led MSMEs, with 2,500 businesses successfully scaling up through UMK Academy and Pertamina’s Rumah BUMN initiative. Furthermore, 2,900 entrepreneurs with disabilities have seen their businesses grow, contributing IDR 1.9 billion to the economy.
In promoting clean energy, Pertamina has developed DEB in 159 villages across Indonesia, positively impacting 35,746 households. The DEB program has generated 733,559-watt peak (Wp) of clean energy annually, along with 846,180 metric tons of biogas and methane per year.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, emphasized that the TJSL Program reflects Pertamina's commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while aligning with the Asta Cita Government Agenda to enhance social welfare, improve human resources, achieve energy and food self-sufficiency, and drive the national economy.
