Sukabumi, February 8, 2025 – 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero) has facilitated the first export of Kahla Tempe Chips, a product from one of its fostered Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) under the Go Global program, to Saudi Arabia. Pertamina conducted the ceremonial export release of this Indonesian specialty food, accompanied by local government officials, relevant ministries, and institutions that have supported the export process.

Kahla Tempe Chips is a flagship product of Kahla MSME, which has been Pertamina’s fostered MSME since 2020. This export resulted from a collaboration agreement signed with a Saudi Arabian buyer during a trade expo in October 2024.

Rudi Ariffianto, VP of CSR & SMEPP Management of Pertamina, stated, “We are very proud of Kahla Tempe Chips' achievement in penetrating the international market. This milestone proves that Indonesian MSME products, especially those fostered by Pertamina, are competitive and in demand globally.”

Rudi added that through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs, Pertamina remains committed to supporting MSME growth to scale up and become globally competitive.

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, also emphasized that Pertamina’s TJSL initiatives align with President Prabowo’s administration Asta Cita vision, which aims to increase job opportunities, encourage entrepreneurship, and develop the creative industry.

“We hope that the global reach of Kahla Tempe Chips will inspire other MSMEs to remain productive, improve quality, and be optimistic about expanding into international markets,” he said.

Kahla Tempe Chips has been Pertamina’s fostered partner since 2020 through the Micro and Small Business Funding Program (PUMK). As Pertamina’s partner, Kahla Tempe Chips has received export training from the Human Resources Development Center for Export and Trade Services (PPEJP) under the Ministry of Trade and has participated in various national and international exhibitions.

Originating from Sukabumi Regency, Kahla Tempe Chips has successfully increased production capacity, improved product quality, and met international export standards, thanks to Pertamina’s mentorship and development programs.
