Jakarta, February 9, 2025 – 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero) will continue to collaborate with media professionals to support the Indonesian government's efforts in building national self-reliance through energy management based on the principles of availability, accessibility, affordability, acceptability, and sustainability. This commitment aligns with this year's National Press Day, which falls on Sunday, February 9, 2025, under the theme "The Press Safeguarding Food Security for National Self-Sufficiency."
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero), stated that Pertamina has collaborated with the press in various activities aimed at supporting the press in fulfilling its educational and informational functions. This synergy is a crucial step, especially in supporting the government's Asta Cita program to advance Indonesia's welfare and economy.
"Pertamina will continue to partner with the mass media in delivering various corporate information to the public. This is also a manifestation of our commitment to applying the corporate openness and transparency principles," he said.
According to Fadjar, Pertamina actively collaborates in corporate education, promotion, and publication efforts. These include field coverage programs that provide direct insight into industrial operations and community development programs in operational areas.
Fadjar continued that to appreciate the press’ support, Pertamina has been presenting an annual award event called the Anugerah Jurnalistik Pertamina (AJP/Pertamina Journalism Award) since 2004. Each year, 325 awards are given for high-quality journalistic works by media professionals across Indonesia.
"AJP serves as a regular platform for Pertamina to appreciate journalists. Media professionals from all over the country can participate, gain experience, and gain exposure to the energy business and community empowerment. The best journalistic works are rewarded with opportunities to enhance their competencies, such as short journalism courses abroad. This allows Indonesian journalists to acquire new knowledge and connect with global journalists," Fadjar explained.
Pertamina remains consistent in organizing various activities with media professionals, both to improve journalistic competencies and to educate the public about the energy industry, ensuring that society receives credible and informative news.
"In the end, our support for the Indonesian press will have an impact on the information’s quality that the public receives, as it is delivered by competent journalists," Fadjar concluded.
Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
