Jakarta, March 27, 2025 – In anticipation of the 2025 Eid homecoming season, 黑料不打烊 PGN Tbk (PGN), a subsidiary of Pertamina in the gas sector, has once again organized the Mudik Gratis Bersama PGN (Free Homecoming with PGN) program on March 26, 2025. This program aims to provide safe and comfortable transportation for homecoming travelers, particularly for lower-middle-income communities, which aligns with PGN’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment to supporting public welfare.
Arief S. Handoko, President Director of PGN, stated that this initiative is also part of state-owned enterprises' (SOEs) commitment to providing the best service to the public. “PGN, along with other SOEs, offer a free homecoming solution that is expected to create a smooth, safe, and comfortable travel experience for travelers,” said Arief on Wednesday (26/03/2025).
Around 1,267 travelers departed using 27 buses that had undergone thorough inspections, including health checks for all drivers. These measures were taken to minimize accident risks and ensure the safety of all participants. The travel routes covered West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java. The departure ceremony for 23 buses was held at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta, attended by Rosa Permata Sari, Director of Strategy and Business Development of PGN, Rachmat Hutama, Director of Human Resources and Business Support of PGN, and Arief Kurnia Risdianto, Director of Risk Management of PGN.
As part of the government’s Free Homecoming program, PGN also dispatched four buses to support the Mudik Gratis Bersama program initiated by the Ministry of SOEs and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), both of which took place on March 27, 2025. This collaboration allows more people to benefit from the Free Homecoming program.
Atik, one of the travelers heading to Klaten, Central Java, expressed joy in participating in Mudik Gratis Bersama PGN and celebrating Eid in her hometown. “I am delighted. Thanks to this program, I can reunite with my family and relatives back home. Thank you, PGN, for providing free homecoming in 2025,” she said.
Another traveler, Sunarti, also felt helped by this initiative. She mentioned that Mudik Gratis Bersama PGN significantly reduced her travel expenses, usually around IDR 600,000 per person. She hopes to continue benefiting from this program in future Eid seasons.
Arief also reminded all travelers to prioritize safety throughout the journey.
"We hope PGN can bring happiness to the travelers, which will generate positive energy for the company. We also wish all travelers to arrive safely at their destinations, filled with joy and good health, and to reunite with their families in a meaningful celebration," concluded Arief.
PGN is also committed to ensuring the continuous natural gas supply during the Eid holiday period. For this reason, PGN has assigned the Ramadan and Eid Task Force (Satgas RAFI) 2025, which is on standby to ensure smooth gas distribution across 73 districts/cities. If customers experience any issues or incidents related to PGN’s natural gas services, they can contact the Pertamina Call Center at 135 or the nearest PGN office.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, stated that the free homecoming program organized by Pertamina Group is a form of appreciation for loyal customers who use Pertamina’s products, including fuel, gas, lubricants, and others.
"Pertamina wants to share happiness with our fellow citizens who wish to celebrate Eid in their hometowns," said Fadjar.
Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
