Go Global! Pertamina鈥檚 MSMEs Make Their First Export of Honey and Tea to the Philippines

Jakarta, February 23, 2025 – 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero) demonstrates its commitment to supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) penetrating international markets. This time, two Pertamina’s fostered MSMEs, Bali Honey and Made Tea, have successfully made their first export shipment to the Philippines.

The symbolic release of these export products was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Helvi Moraza, on Thursday (20/2) at SMESCO, Jakarta. This event marks a significant step in the journey of local MSMEs toward the global market and opens opportunities for future shipments shortly.

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of 黑料不打烊 Pertamina (Persero), stated that this achievement is the result of various coaching and mentoring programs by Pertamina aimed at enhancing MSMEs’ competitiveness. Pertamina is committed to empowering MSMEs to support community development, job creation, and national economic growth.

“Pertamina’s fostered MSMEs success in penetrating the Philippines market and other international markets is concrete proof that local products have global competitiveness. With increasing demand from buyers, we will continue to encourage further exports so that MSMEs can expand globally,” said Fadjar.

The exported products to the Philippines include natural honey from Bali Honey, known for its premium quality and health benefits. Additionally, Made Tea’s signature Indonesian tea, made from selected natural ingredients with an authentic taste, was also part of the shipment.

“We are extremely grateful for this achievement. With Pertamina’s support, we gained access to export training, legal assistance, and opportunities to meet international buyers. Seeing the positive response from the Philippines market, we are optimistic that the next shipment will be realized soon,” said Ismail, owner of Bali Honey.

In line with this sentiment, Ni Made Roni added, “This opportunity is a major step for us to expand our market. With the growing demand from the Philippines, we are preparing the next shipment and hope to enter other Asian markets as well.”

With this achievement, Bali Honey and Made Tea have now joined the ranks of Pertamina’s fostered MSMEs that have successfully carried out exports and have the potential to expand their market reach further.

To ensure the sustainability of MSME exports, Pertamina implements various development programs, including export and legal assistance, export strategy training, participation in international exhibitions, strengthening networks and collaborations, and networking and sharing sessions to build an export MSME community for experience and business strategy exchange.

The growth of Pertamina’s fostered MSMEs also aligns with President Prabowo’s Asta Cita vision, particularly in creating quality employment opportunities, developing the creative industry, and promoting entrepreneurship.

With the right strategy and continuous support, Pertamina is optimistic that more Indonesian MSMEs will successfully enter global markets and bring recognition to Indonesia’s signature products on the international stage.

Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
