Ahead of Eid Return Flow in Maluku, Pertamina Checks Fuel Availability and Quality in Ambon

Ambon, April 5, 2025 – Ahead of the peak of the 2025 Eid return flow, Pertamina ensures fuel availability and quality throughout Indonesia meets the standards set by the government. In the Ambon region, fuel quality inspections were conducted at 84.971.05 Petrol Station on Ir. Putuhena Street, Ambon, Maluku Province on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

The fuel quality check was carried out on the Pertalite and Pertamax types, the primary fuels consumed by vehicles. The inspection was conducted directly by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, accompanied by the Director of Engineering & Land Infrastructure of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Eduward Adolof Kawi.

Eduward stated that his visit to Ambon with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources was to check the fuel stock’s quantity and quality distributed by Pertamina Patra Niaga during the 2025 Ramadan and Eid Task Force operations. The results showed that fuel stock during the Eid holiday in Ambon was sufficient, and the quality was well maintained.

"The first thing is to ensure that the Eid Task Force runs smoothly, from the departure period to the return flow. Earlier, we checked, and the stock availability was sufficient. It includes fuel quality check at the petrol station, and all fuel distributed by Patra Niaga meets the specifications required by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources," he said.

After checking fuel quality at the petrol station, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and his entourage inspected the Integrated Terminal Wayame, one of the primary fuel suppliers in the Maluku–Papua region. The Wayame Integrated Terminal is also a transit supply location for the eastern regions of Indonesia, with 18 storage tanks with a capacity of 160 thousand kiloliters.

“We inspected and assessed the readiness of Pertamina’s task force. From ten days before the homecoming period through the holiday, operations have proceeded smoothly without any issues. Nationally, the situation remains stable. In Maluku, we are now focusing on the return flow. The fuel quality has been confirmed to meet standards. Thus, the public can be assured and do not need to be concerned,” explained Bahlil.

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication, said that Pertamina continues to monitor fuel demand during the return flow across Indonesia to support the smooth operation of Eid 2025.

"Pertamina is making every effort to provide the best service and ensure all petrol stations maintain fuel availability to offer security and comfort for the public," said Fadjar.

Fadjar urged the public to report any fuel or LPG availability discrepancies directly to the Pertamina Call Center at 135.

"The 2025 Ramadan and Eid Task Force is on standby 24 hours a day to support the smooth flow of the Eid return and to provide excellent service to the public," Fadjar emphasized.
