At the event organized by the La Tofi School of Social Responsibility, Pertamina Group also secured 71 awards for its strong commitment to environmental preservation through various creative initiatives and contributions to the surrounding environment.

The award was presented by La Tofi, Chairman of the La Tofi School of Social Responsibility, to Rudi Ariffianto, Vice President of CSR & SMEPP Management of Pertamina, in Jakarta on Wednesday (15/1/2025).

"Environmental damage is becoming increasingly evident every day. Therefore, we continue to encourage companies to engage in environmental conservation to reduce the impact of such damage. This is what we aim to promote through the Indonesia Green Awards every year, up to this day. Pertamina, for instance, has reached a stage where its CSR activities have a tangible impact on society. Congratulations to Pertamina," said La Tofi.

In response, the Vice President of CSR & SMEPP Management of Pertamina, Rudi Ariffianto, expressed gratitude and appreciation for the award. This recognition, he said, reflects the acknowledgment of external stakeholders for Pertamina’s dual role in providing energy to the Indonesian people and actively safeguarding environmental sustainability.

"We are grateful for this award. Pertamina has even received 'The Guardian', the highest recognition, which further strengthens our commitment to maintaining environmental sustainability and benefiting Indonesian society as well as the business world. This award is a testament to the recognition from stakeholders who are competent in assessing Pertamina’s commitment to conducting sustainable business practices," said Rudi.

One of the programs evaluated in the Indonesia Green Awards is the Desa Energi Berdikari (DEB/Independent Energy Village), a flagship program by Pertamina. This program aligns with the company’s goals of providing clean energy to fulfill societal needs, reducing emissions to achieve a healthier planet, and generating economic value that benefits communities.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, added that Pertamina ensures energy self-sufficiency while implementing community programs to promote sustainability. Sustainability has become a core focus for Pertamina as it pursues its vision of becoming a leading global energy company that is environmentally friendly, socially responsible, and governed with excellence.

"Besides community empowerment initiatives like Desa Energi Berdikari, Pertamina is actively involved in environmental conservation efforts such as sustainable forests and biodiversity preservation. This IGA award is dedicated to Pertamina’s employees, who are not only energy warriors but also environmental and community warriors," he concluded.

Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
